Moving In, Moving Out

As young people, our belongings constantly sit in boxes. Every few weeks, months, or years, we pick up and move to a new street, town, or life. We keep getting older, yet our things remain in boxes. The rooms we leave behind stay unmoved by our living, by our raging: dancing by the window, jumping on the bed, crying at the doorway. To the space, it's as if I was never there. Yet, we feel the weight of time as our backs begin to ache and our hearts grow heavy from moving in, moving out.
